Rules 2008

Star Wars 2008 goes into a slightly different direction now with Tony Signore taking over some of the duties. In late February, Mark and Tony submited pre-tournament seedings to determine if any groups showed up on the same lists. This is called 'Seed Wars'.There were three groups: Beck, Rilo Kiley and Green Day. Tony had seeded all three higher than Mark therefore Tony kept them and Mark had to pick new groups.

Any group can be cut and a new group picked up on a first come basis via Emails until we decide to lock up the groups.

Any group can be seeded in any order EXCEPT the locked-in seeds from the Seed Wars. There will be a final Seeding for all groups shortly before the first game.

Mark gets the Midwest and South for his higher seeds, Tony gets the East and West for his higher seeds. Groups will be set in place BEFORE the actual teams are chosen.

The Debate: In years past, winning a Star Wars Championship allowed a group to automatically get a bid every year after, but some groups are now obscure and not talented for today's tougher play...new rule for 2008: Each coach has to choose ONE (more if wanted) former Star Wars Champion.
